AGAIN BE CELEBRATING THE ANNUAL GAY PRIDE EVENT AT THE WEEKEND, BUT SOME
PARTICIPANTS ARE ADAMANT THEY WON’T TAKE PART THIS YEAR.
THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE IN
DE WATERKANT GAY VILLAGE IN CAPE TOMORROW
GAY ACTIVIST FUNEKA SOLDAAT
SAYS SHE’S ABSTAINING FROM THE EVENT THIS YEAR, AS SHE BELIEVES THE ORGANISERS
ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THE REAL ISSUES FACING THE GAY COMMUNITY….
SOLDAAT AND OTHER MEMBERS OF
THE FREE GENDER ORGANISATION WILL HOST A DIALOGUE CONCERNING ISSUES SUCH AS
UGANDA’S ANTI GAY LAW, AMONG OTHERS.
ONCE AGAIN CAPE TOWN WILL BE
CELEBRATING GAY PRIDE THIS WEEKEND BUT UNLIKE ANY OTHER YEARS, SOME WILL NOT
TAKE PART.
THE GAY ACTIVIST AND FOUNDER
OF THE FREE GENDER ORGANISATION FUNEKA SOLDAAT WILL NOT BE ATTENDING THIS
YEAR'S EVENT.
SOLDAAT SAYS THE ORGANISERS
ARE LESS INTERESTED ON THE REAL ISSUES
ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT, SOLDAAT AND HER TEAM WILL BE HAVING A DIALOGUE, CONCERNING ON THE REAL ISSUES, INCLUDING UGANDA AND SEEK STRATEGIES TO MOVE FORWARD.
